Day 80 - LONDON
In honour of the 2013 London Olympic Games commencing today, I thought I might post some photos from our own visit to the capital for the next fortnight.
It was the summer of 2007, and we were a family then of four with the boys being at the very cute ages of 5 and 3 years.
Enjoy :)

Day 79 - VIEW FROM A CARPARK

Day 78 - IS IT SUMMER YET?
(photo taken by Paul)
Whilst sorting through some stuff Mia found an old boogie board and decided to do some indoor surfing!!
Actually she seems to be the one of our three kids who is missing the warmer weather. She keeps saying she wants it to be warm again so she can wear a t-shirt and go swimming. She misses her swimming pool too :( Maybe the surfing will help :)
Day 77 - MAKING DINNER
(photo taken by Paul)
Mia helping Daddy cook dinner. Think it may have been fried rice this night.
Not my favourite job in the day to cook dinner as I'm often at my tiredest then. But it must be done...so the family tell me!! If you're looking for some menu planning inspiration some of our meals include: spaghetti bolognaise, pasta bake, chicken curry and rice, chicken chasseur and rice, curried mince, stir fry, beef stew, chicken casserole and risotto....to name a few :o)

Day 75 - FROM HERE TO THERE
Looking across the boys' school, our suburb of Sandy Bay and across to the eastern shore.
(Took this from the boys' school carpark whilst waiting for Owen to finish after school footy training).
Day 74 - JAM JARS
Sunday morning we went to our favourite local to try out their breakfast for the first time.
The freshly squeezed juices came in these cute little jam jars :o) Lovely
Day 73 - THE DOCKS BY NIGHT
Day 72 - REALLY?
Christmas Fruit Mince Pies in my local Woolies. Really?
Since it's almost the end of July I'm telling myself that they're just late in doing some Christmas in July thing rather than super early for December. Who is buying these?

Day 70 - LIFE'S NECESSITIES
I need these everyday.
A cup of tea (well usually 3-4 a day) and some plain Dairy Milk chocolate.
Mr Cadbury and Mr Dilmah would be very pleased with me!!

Day 67 - SOMETHING ELSE I LIKE DOING
Saturday, 14 July 2012
Day 66 - GROWING
I am trying to grow my hair and have been for a while.
Considering this is where it used to be....
...it's getting there!
Day 65 - FAVOURITE PASTIME
I love watching movies!
I love going to the movies. I love watching movies at home.
I love watching them with my friend my husband, or by myself.
I especially love watching movies as a family, snuggled up together under blankets, eating munchies :o)

Day 64 - BUILDINGS
(photo taken by Paul)
This would have to be another of my favourite buildings in Hobart....Wrest Point Casino. Actually the tall round part of the building is the hotel and the casino and restaurants are in the building to the side. Although I do like the restaurants there (I'm not at all into the casino) I think I've grown to love the building because it serves as such a landmark for the suburb where we currently live, work and play. Especially in the first couple of weeks of living here when I didn't totally know the roads and where I was going, if I could see this building on the horizon then I knew that I was headed in the right direction. Thanks Wrest Point!

Day 59 - ACROSS THE ROAD
This park is across the road from where we live....
....and then I turned my back on the water and looked back towards the mountain to take these :o)
(our house is just a bit up the road to the left)
(I love the funny little hill in the middle of the last photo!)
Day 58 - THE SUN
I am truly, madly and deeply in love with the sun lately! :o)
When it's a sunny day here in winter it is just so lovely. A 12 degree day is no hassle at all.
I have a tacky app on my phone where I record 5 things everyday that I'm grateful for and the sunshine has appeared so often in my lists of late. It is just glorious.
Oh and it seems that it's not just me that is having this love affair with the sun. Yesterday (when this photo was taken) it was an absolutely gorgeous and unexpected 17 degrees. I took Mia to the park, dressed for the first time in ages in just a long-sleeved top and not my down jacket, and it seemed as though everyone was outdoors. It also seemed as though everyone was enjoying the warmth of the sun as much as I was. As I passed people in the street they would comment on how lovely the sun was. Seems it was a shared experience :o)

Day 56 - VIOLIN
(photo taken by Paul)
(photo taken by Paul)
Just to even things up from the previous post.....here is Luke's instrument....another part of my favourite strings section....the violin.
Mia isn't learning the violin at all but we think she would sure look super cute if she did!! :o)
Day 55 - CELLO
(photo taken by Paul)
The strings would be my favourite part of an orchestra and the cello my favourite instrument. So we were very excited when Owen got his choice of the cello as his school instrument. Unfortunately, apart from this one time it hasn't made it home again since for us to hear....and more importantly....play with ourselves!!! :o)

Day 54 - SOMETHING THAT MAKES ME LAUGH
Actually, change that to SOMEONE....
my 4 year old daughter Mia!!!
(Bedtime....here she was being silly and decided to hide under her covers whilst she was waiting for me to come back into the room.....she fell asleep waiting!!)
(Playing dress-ups)
